Emerging Media - Morning Forum
 (Silicon Valley American Marketing Association)
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - Palo Alto, CA

Elymedia is producing a monthly forum on Web 2.0 under the auspices of the Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA). We meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month to talk about some aspect of Web 2.0 -- blogging, podcasting, wireless media, social networks and more. We will be hearing case studies from companies that are utilizing Web 2.0 in their ongoing marketing plans and from suppliers and resources who have capabilities to share and case studies of their own.

I would like to invite you to the next monthly "Emerging Media" Morning Forum, to be presented on the 28th of May. We'll meet at Scott's in Palo Alto**, starting at 8:30am.

This month, the session subject will be "The Tangled Social Web We Weave," presented by Bill Flitter, CEO and Founder, Pheedo, Inc.

With so much innovation around social networks and the tools that power them, opportunities for marketers are beginning to emerge. However, every week there is a new tool or service that launches, creating a daunting task: unraveling what deserves your attention, and understanding how it all works together.

In this session, we will make sense of these new social tools and understand how to harness them to create positive marketing ROI within an active social-media system. We will present real-world examples about what works, how advertising within social networks is evolving, and how to define success and best practices. Attendees will walk away with the essential concepts they will need to create a successful social-media marketing plan.

Come with your questions and ideas. Feel free to pass this along to others who may be interested. Hope to see you there!
