Be the VoiceSM
Build your business by becoming
your industry's thought leader

Emerging Media - Morning Forum
(Silicon Valley American Marketing Association)
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 - Palo Alto, CA

"Be the Voice" explains why developing thought leadership is critical to growing your business. Thanks to the multitude of new social-media tools, all businesses can and should create their own media network. You'll learn how to harness the combination of Web 2.0 technologies along with developing smart assessment, editorial, production, and conversational skills to create lots of content cost-efficiently, while avoiding common pitfalls that could cause your company's media network to fail.

In addition, you'll learn how to:

  • Focus on message, not medium
Don't be medium-focused. Learn how to zero on the message and efficiently publish a single idea or effort across multiple media.
  • Determine your message
What is the most appropriate content and medium for your audience?
  • Grow your business with ongoing knowledge base
Increase organic discovery of your product and services and support sales staff so they can close sales.

Elymedia is producing the monthly forum on Web 2.0 under the auspices of the Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA). We meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month to talk about some aspect of Web 2.0 -- blogging, podcasting, wireless media, social networks and more. We will be hearing case studies from companies that are utilizing Web 2.0 in their ongoing marketing plans and from suppliers and resources who have capabilities to share and case studies of their own.
